Dubrovnik Photo Diary

Dubrovnik Photo Diary

Hey guys! We got back from a nnyley holiday to Dubrovnik quite a while ago (well not really but feels like that anyway) but with both of us back at uni and whatnot, it took a bit of time to actually go through the photos we took to pick out which ones to upload. We had never been to Croatia before this trip and definitely didn't know what to expect, but honestly, it was such a fun trip. Maybe seeing these photos inspire you guys to plan your next trip to Croatia!

We stayed at the Dubrovnik Palace Hotel and although I don't really want too much negativity here on this blog, I think I have to be honest in giving my thoughts on hotels we stay at because I don't want people to just look at the photos and think that everything was amazing. This hotel was nice, yes, but I felt like their service wasn't too great. Don't want to go into too much detail and maybe it was just bad luck for us but I'd recommend checking out other reviews before deciding to stay there.

On a brighter note, Dubrovnik was B E A UTIFUL! We spent the majority of our time by the pool but when we weren't, we ventured out to the Old Town. I'm not quite sure how to describe it, but the walls, the buildings and everything looked like they had so much history behind them and I loved that some of the original wall built around the city to protect it still remained. We're not really that big into very tourist activities but we had to go on the city walls to see Dubrovnik from above. Mind you, it was a little bit scary (for me anyway, Ashley didn't really have a problem) but the view was worth it - the orange coloured roofs and the Adriatic sea looked sooooo nice paired next to each other. We didn't even have to try hard to take good photos here because every snap literally was like a postcard. I mean... How can it not be, right?

Another thing that we'd recommend you do if you ever visit Dubrovnik is see the view from way above. We had originally planned to get the cable car up but the queue was too long and took a taxi instead. It turned out to be better because we got to enjoy the view a little longer, although it was a little scary driving along the cliff on a one way road. We also had some drinks at a cafe while up there and sorry to go on about the view, but it really was so beautiful!

Dubrovnik, we'll be back!
