Marrakech: Jardin Majorelle
Sorry guys for how late this post is! I haven't posted anything in more than two weeks but I've been getting ready to go back to uni next week and it was my birthday so I think those are good excuses. I also wrote this post once before but my laptop decided to die so technically this post was uploaded (in my mind) last week!
Jardin Majorelle is an absolute MUST. I think I've probably said that about every single place I visited in Marrakech but Marrakech is so beautiful and I just can't get enough! A little brief history of this botanical garden goes like this - it was built by Jacques Majorelle in the 1920s and was discovered by Yves Saint Laurent and Pierre Bergé in 1966 during their stay in Marrakech. They fell in love with the garden quickly and bought it in 1980 in an attempt to keep Jardin Majorelle open to public.
Immediately upon entering, I fell in love with this magical place, especially with it's iconic cobalt blue colour, flora and fauna.
I used my Canon EOS 550D on this trip but forgot to bring my charger with me. I ran out of battery (obviously) after these pictures were taken so the following pictures are from my iPhone and Modupe's iPad.
