A good day consists of ...
Gallery visits and good food, obviously! Is it surprising that we're so into art since I study History and Ashley studies Computer Science? Don't think so. We've been exposed to different kinds of arts since we were very little and I'm glad we were. We both know how to play at least two instruments fluently (is that a word to describe your musical abilities as well as languages?), we've both taken Art GCSE and LOVE going to different museums and galleries in search for more art.
Yesterday we visited the Marian Goodman Gallery in London (they have three around the world) and walked around the Gerhard Richter exhibition. We fell in love with his artwork, especially the photographic work, after seeing the Panorama exhibition at the Tate Modern in 2011. I don't think he's had a major solo exhibition since then in London. After attending the Frieze art fair a couple of weeks ago, we were excited to see some of his newer works and rekindled our love for his work. The exhibition at the Marian Goodman Gallery was perfect and we recommend you go as it is on until the 20th of December.
The gallery is situated on Little John Street, right off Golden Square. We decided to head over to Carnaby street for lunch with no specific place in mind until we stumbled into Kingly Court. When we saw Shoryu, we both knew we wanted some Japanese Ramen so headed straight there.
